Spring at Prestwold Hall is such a special time of year. The gardens are starting to fill with colour, the sun pours through our romantic Orangery and our Grade I stately home in Leicestershire really comes to life. While summer is traditionally peak wedding season, we love a spring wedding. Rachel and Daniel’s March wedding is filled with all the inspiration you need to plan your own stylish spring nuptials. From the cream, white and peach colour scheme to the two incredible wedding dresses, it was an unforgettable day. All captured perfectly by Sophie May.
The morning of the wedding
Rachel and her bridesmaids made the most of Prestwold’s luxurious accommodation, taking over the chic Honeymoon Site on the morning of the wedding. Here, Rachel and her big day crew had plenty of space to relax and get ready for the ceremony. All without having to worry about getting to the venue.
Rachel’s two stylish wedding dresses
Our beautiful bride Rachel stunned in her strapless wedding dress and veil. Featuring a structured split front bodice and floaty tulle skirt, it was the perfect mix of contemporary and classic. Paired with large drop pearl earrings, a relaxed up-do and spring bouquet, Rachel’s big day look was ethereal and feminine. Just perfect for a country house setting.
We love how Rachel switched things up in the evening. For the party she changed into a slinky halterneck dress to dance the night away.
Daniel dressed for the occasion in a sharp tux and simple rose buttonhole, while the bridesmaids added a splash of colour in their mauve silk maxi dresses.
Spring wedding reception styling at Prestwold
Prestwold Hall’s drawing room was the spectacular setting for Rachel and Daniel’s Spring wedding reception. With light pouring in through the large windows, glowing chandelier light and ornate period detail, it’s a stunning space that really speaks for itself. Rachel and Daniel embraced the beauty of the drawing room, opting for simple decor. Gypsophila runners and centrepieces, along with twinkling candles and sophisticated monogrammed napkins dressed the tables.
The wedding cake was a classic three-tiered white design. It was embellished with pearls and decorated with fresh roses for a springtime touch.
