Where is Prestwold Hall?
Our elegant, exclusive-use wedding venue sits proudly amidst 2,500 acres of idyllic parkland in the heart of the Leicestershire Wolds. Less than a 10-minute drive from Loughborough – or a short taxi drive from the train station – we’re easy to find and get to. Although, once you arrive at the beautiful and secluded Prestwold estate you’ll feel a million miles away from anywhere else.

We are an exclusive hire venue and it’s important to us that you and your guests feel at home. Whatever the season, Prestwold is a welcoming venue with so much to offer.
We take our food seriously and are proud of the delicious wedding menu on offer. Plus, our on-site bedrooms make sure you and you guests don’t have far to travel to rest your heads after a day and night of stylish celebrations.

How much does it cost to get married at Prestwold Hall?
Whatever size wedding you are planning, our prices include exclusive use of the house and formal gardens, and our events team helping every step of the way.
There is a minimum requirement of 40 daytime guests on Monday-Wednesday, 60 daytime guests on Thursday and Sundays and 75 daytime guests on Friday and Saturdays throughout the year.
Our 2025 venue hire prices range between £2,500 – £3,750 in low season (March and October), from £2,750 – £4,250 in mid-season (April, May, June and September), from £2,750 – £4,750 in high season (July and August) and between £2,250 – £3,250 in winter (January, February and November). Contact us directly for prices for Christmas weddings throughout December.

The Library
Nowhere showcases the history and unique character of Prestwold Hall quiet like The Library. Make your way through our enchanting Orangery, to join your loved one and your guests in the most beautiful of ceremony rooms. Antique wooden floors and tall bookcases add a sense of warmth and elegance to proceedings, while the floor-to-ceiling windows allow the room to be flooded with natural light. The Library can seat 140 guests.
St. Andrew’s Church
Just a stone’s throw from Prestwold’s front door sits the charming medieval 13th-century Church of St. Andrew’s. It’s a romantic and atmospheric place to exchange your vows, before carrying on the celebrations inside our country house.
The Dining Room
Our grand reception space really sets the scene for a special afternoon. Opulent statement chandeliers, large fireplaces, period touches and sumptuous interiors create a captivating setting for your wedding breakfast. And, with views out across our stately home’s grounds, everywhere you turn you’re treated to a touch of Prestwold Hall luxury.

Can I get married outside at Prestwold Hall?
Yes, you can. Our Georgian gazebo, set in Prestwold’s glorious, manicured gardens provides the prettiest of settings for a unique al-fresco ceremony.
What is the capacity for Prestwold Hall?
At Prestwold we are able to accommodate up to 140 guests for the ceremony and for dining, and up to 200 guests for evening receptions.

What food options are there at Prestwold Hall?
Food is a big deal at Prestwold Hall. We’re passionate about creating exciting, delicious wedding menus you and your guests will rave about. Our talented team, under Head Chef Marc Billings, use the very best locally sourced and in-season ingredients – many from right here on the Prestwold Estate – to create the wedding menu of your dreams. And it’s no problem at all to cater to all kinds of dietary needs.
We also offer a fun evening food menu, filled with the perfect kind of dishes to fuel your guests and keep the party going. Whether you like the idea of sourdough pizzas, a hog roast or a grazing buffet, we’ve got you covered.

Does Prestwold Hall have on-site accommodation?
We do. Prestwold Hall has 10 stylish bedrooms – including an elegant Honeymoon Suite for the newlyweds to enjoy – available exclusively for you and your guests. We’re more than happy to serve night caps for your overnight guests in our late lounge, along with a midnight munchies board before bed.
If you’re after a little more space, there’s the chic self-catering Laundry Cottage (which sleeps 8) or Lodge (which sleeps 6) on-site, available to book the night before or the evening of your wedding.
