It’s easy to bring a touch of Bridgerton to your big day, with romantic Regency-inspired details that add an elegant, sumptuous feel to any celebration. The period venue

Nothing sets the scene for your wedding quite like your venue. A grand stately home is the perfect way to get that Bridgerton-inspired look for your big day, while offering an elegant backdrop for your celebrations. Prestwold Hall is a magnificent, exclusive-use country house and the perfect Leicestershire venue for your Regency-look wedding.

Our Grade I stately home is surrounded  by 2,500 acres of rolling parkland in the heart of the Leicestershire Wolds. Its idyllic setting is matched by fine architecture, beautiful antique furniture, and dazzling period interiors. Here you can exchange vows in one of our grand ceremony rooms, or under our elegant Georgian gazebo, for a sophisticated alfresco ceremony.

Regency Blue colour scheme

Soft blue was the signature colour of the Regency era, and no Bridgerton-inspired wedding is complete without a stylish Regency Blue colour palette. It’s also a fabulous choice for a modern wedding. Get the look with oversized blue bow chair ties, fluffy blue hydrangeas, colour matched napkins and a ‘something blue’ wedding cake.

You can even work the Regency Blue theme through your sartorial choices, with blue bridesmaids’ dresses and blue high heels.

Twinkling candlelight

Soft candlelight creates an intimate and magical atmosphere, so fill your wedding venue with twinkling tea lights, tapered candles, and pillar candles in hurricane vases. Just be sure you check with your venue beforehand if real candles are allowed – if not, LED candles can replicate that flickering glow. Very Bridgerton.

Elegant calligraphy

Handwritten place names and sweeping calligraphy wedding signs are an easy way to give a nod to this trend. If you want to add a regal touch to proceedings, opt for wax seals on your invitations and menus.

Classical music, with a twist

Bridgerton is famous for putting a classic Regency spin on pop songs and this is one trend that’s becoming hugely popular at 2024 weddings. Fill your day with unexpected orchestral versions of popular songs – book a string quartet or harpist to truly get that Regency feel. Take your inspiration from Colin and Penelope’s wedding, where the bride walked down the aisle to Yellow by Coldplay and the couple’s first dance to a romantic string version of You Belong with Me by Taylor Swift.

The Regency-inspired wedding dress

Draw from the TV show’s Regency aesthetic and opt for a romantic and glamorous wedding dress for your own big day. Trends like empire line, puff sleeves, opulent fabrics, figure-flattering corsetry, and lace detail are subtle ways to channel the trend. Pair with a chic headband or tiara (very Queen Charlotte) for the perfect Bridgerton-esqe finishing touch.
