There’s something so magical about an autumn wedding, and we’re head over heels for the cosy, romantic vibes of Laura and Harrison’s mid-October wedding at Prestwold Hall. From the cute, pumpkin-inspired table settings to the fun pop-up casino evening reception, it was a gorgeous day packed with personality. All perfectly captured by Emma Shaw Photography.
Laura’s timeless bridal style
Our bride Laura looked absolutely beautiful in her long-sleeve wedding gown. Featuring an illusion lace top with sleeves and a floaty A-line skirt, it was the perfect mix of boho-luxe and timeless glamour. The addition of a sparkling tiara, worn with her long blonde waves, added a touch of stately home fabulousness. A luxurious wedding venue like Prestwold Hall makes the chicest backdrop for a dramatic wedding dress, and Laura really did look next-level gorgeous.
The intimate country house wedding ceremony
With the autumn sunshine streaming in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, Prestwold’s Library was the dream setting for Laura and Harrison’s romantic wedding ceremony. Our couple exchanged their vows in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends, with elegant period interiors and antique bookshelves adding a real sense of history. The Harp Lady provided the unforgettable soundtrack to the ‘I do’s, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when she played Everlong by the Foo Fighters at the end of the ceremony. Such a special moment.
Autumn wedding flower ideas
If you’re looking for autumn wedding flower inspiration, you’ve come to the right place. We adore Laura’s bouquet and statement floral displays, by the incredible Bradgate Flowers. Featuring toffee, antique caramel and quicksand roses, it’s a sophisticated take on the traditional autumnal colour palette or reds, oranges and yellows. The warm tones work a dream against Prestwold’s antique brickwork and the autumnal sunshine.
Quirky reception styling
We love how our bride and groom leaned into the season, styling Prestwold’s Dining Room with fun autumnal touches to show off their unique couple style. Each table was named after Laura and Harrison’s favourite rollercoasters and featured quirky book stacks decorated with twinkling fairy lights. Miniature pumpkins in oranges, white and gold, along with paper leaves in autumnal shades, added a cute seasonal feel.
Time to party at Prestwold
Laura and Harrison know how to party, and as the sun set, they transformed our country house into a cool casino. Evening guests were treated to a roulette wheel, cocktail hour – featuring bespoke his and hers drinks – and an unforgettable first dance in front of dazzling oversized Mr and Mrs Holt light-up letters. Everyone gathered outside to watch the spectacular fireworks display lighting up the skies above Prestwold Hall. It was the perfect end to an utterly joyful day. Thanks so much for sharing it with us, Laura and Harrison!
