Baroque blue and white wedding styling at Prestwold Hall

This dramatic styled shoot at Leicestershire’s Prestwold Hall drew inspiration from ‘opulence with a contemporary twist’. Some of the UK’s most creative and talented wedding professionals collaborated with us to transform our country house wedding venue into a sumptuous, Baroque-inspired setting for the chicest of wedding days. Thank you to the amazing Emma Neville Jones (Styled by Sissy) who brought the statement theme together, as well as Little Posy Photography and Wildheart Photography for capturing these beautiful images.

Blue and white wedding table inspiration

Prestwold Hall’s Ballroom was the perfect backdrop for the grand Baroque and Rococo styling. Following an elegant blue and white colour scheme, tables were dressed with the most exquisite floral displays in speckled stone urns and vintage posy vases. Instead of plain white crockery, stylist Emma sourced blue and white china plates and chargers. It’s such a simple touch, but one that really elevated the table settings.

Tall candelabras were wrapped in ruffled Toile de Juoy fabric, bringing a playful, whimsical feel to the table settings. We love the pretty macaron favours, which reflect the famous white and blue fabric design, helping to create a beautifully cohesive theme.

Navy velvet bows dressed the edge of the table, and were tied around wine glass stems, while swags of rich blue silk taffeta fabric cascaded around the bottom of the table. Such a clever touch to convey a real sense of occasion.  Candles in shades of misty blue were lit to bring a romantic atmosphere to the wedding breakfast.

Nicole Olivier Cake Designs created an unbelievable 1m long rectangular cake, which served as an extravagant centrepiece for the table. Decorated with fresh flowers and fruit, it brought the rich, celebratory feel of the ballroom together perfectly.

English Country Garden wedding flowers

Lucinda Smith (aka The Flower Fairy) filled the shoot with the most exquisite floral displays. Featuring ranunculus, roses, jasmine, hydrangea and more, each floral creation was a glorious mixture of textures, in shades of Wedgewood blue, white, peach and burnt coral. Alongside these bold arrangements, smaller, single stem posies of flowers like muscari were dotted along the table, adding colour, fragrance and texture.

The ‘make a statement’ wedding dress

Our model’s Josephine Scott wedding dress was all about the drama. The Milla Lux gown featured a structured, pleated corset with illusion lace back. The full A-line pick-up skirt and train channelled a traditionally Baroque opulence – perfect for our stately home wedding venue.

The detachable puff sleeves with slender lace cuffs brought a modern feel to the big day look, while the cathedral-length embroidered veil created a romantic, flowing silhouette for our bride.

A wow-factor wedding theme needs an equally impressive venue. Prestwold Hall, set within a beautiful 2,500-acre estate, is a breathtaking Grade I listed wedding venue.
