Getting ready at Prestwold Hall
Rhiannon started her wedding day in style, making the most of Prestwold Hall’s Dressing Room to get ready with her bridesmaids. With plenty of room to relax, this luxurious space gave Rhiannon the chance to enjoy having her hair styled and makeup applied with a glass of Bucks Fizz in hand, without the worry about rushing to her venue.
With exclusive use of Prestwold Hall, Tom and his groomsmen took a walk around the grounds, before heading to the House Bar for a pint to settle any pre-wedding nerves.
There was just enough time for a quick shot in the House Bar for Rhiannon and her bridesmaids, before taking the short walk through Prestwold’s picturesque gardens to the romantic outdoor ceremony.
Rhiannon’s romantic bridal style
With delicate off-the-shoulder lace straps, intricately embroidered bodice and layers of tulle, Rhiannon’s wedding dress was the epitome of relaxed elegance. Paired with a half-up hairstyle and natural makeup, Rhiannon looked absolutely beautiful. Her bridal bouquet was a fragrant mix of roses and stocks in pale orange, lilac and white – fitting in perfectly with the couple’s summery wedding theme. The overall look was one of timeless romance.
Rhiannon’s bridesmaids looked stunning in floor-length lilac dresses, in mix and match styles, along with matching summer bouquets.
Our groom, Tom, kept things classic in a grey three-piece suit and ivory tie, along with a coordinating lilac and pale orange floral buttonhole.
The outdoor wedding ceremony
There’s nowhere quite like Prestwold in the sunshine, and our couple chose to make the most of our glorious grounds with an outdoor ceremony. Our Georgian gazebo provided the most idyllic of settings for Rhiannon and Tom to say their ‘I do’s in front of friends and family. Tucked away in a quiet corner of our formal gardens, with sweeping views across the Leicestershire countryside, it’s hard to picture anywhere more romantic that our charming gazebo for a summer outdoor wedding ceremony.
Lilac theme wedding reception
Tom and Rhiannon welcomed guests to their wedding breakfast with a sophisticated mirrored seating plan. When it comes to show-stoppers, it doesn’t get more luxurious than Prestwold Hall’s historic Dining Room. With ornate gold interior detailing, a statement chandlers and sumptuous curtain swags framing the floor to ceiling windows, it’s a unique wedding reception space with charm and character.
Our bride and groom wanted to let the grandeur of the Dining Room shine through, so opted to keep décor to a minimum. Tables were dressed with lilac crinkle table runners and delicate white floral posies, while the top table featured a larger floral display in pale orange and lilac to tie in with the bride’s bouquet. The summer sunshine poured into the Dining Room, showing off the historic interiors in style.
