Today, we’re throwing it back to warmer days, with this gorgeous summer real wedding at Prestwold Hall. Holly and Sam’s August wedding was a super-cool day filled with joy. From the effortlessly elegant black-tie theme to the happiest of happy couples, this was a beautiful day to remember. Thank you to Edward Taylor Photography for the wonderful photos.

Holly’s luxe bridal style

Holly was the coolest of brides, with such a defined sense of style. Starting the day off in feather-trimmed silk pyjamas, our bride fitted in perfectly with Prestwold’s glamorous surroundings. Such a luxe getting-ready look!

Blending classic style with a fashion-forward twist, Holly’s wedding dress featured cap sleeves and a full skirt, along with a bold cutout back. Paired with a sleek up-do, simple drop earrings and a full-length tulle veil, it was a sophisticated bridal look with a modern feel.

We love how Holly switched up her look for the reception, swapping the cap sleeve bolero for voluminous detachable sleeves. Perfect for partying!

Sam and his groomsmen wore black suits, white dress shirts and black bow ties. The bridesmaids looked fabulous in mismatched black satin maxi dresses. Sunglasses optional but highly encouraged!

The romantic St. Andrew’s Church ceremony

Our gorgeous couple opted to say their ‘I do’s at St. Andrew’s Church, the most idyllic of historic churches, tucked away in a picturesque corner of Prestwold Hall’s grounds. Holly and Sam added a personal touch with welcome signs – complete with pink bows – and statement floral displays around the entrance to the church.

The church is just a short stroll from Prestwold Hall, so Holly and her father enjoyed a peaceful walk through the private woodlands to get to the ceremony. The perfect way to calm any pre-big-day nerves.

After a moving ceremony, Holly and Sam left the church to a flurry of rose petals thrown by their guests. Then everyone made their way back to Prestwold, enjoying a sunny stroll through the unspoilt Leicestershire countryside.

Pink reception styling

Prestwold Hall’s Dining Room is such a wow setting for a summer wedding reception. With grand chandeliers sparkling in the sunshine, dramatic gilded mirrors and ornate antique interiors, it’s atmospheric and incredibly luxurious. Holly and Sam filled the room with the most beautiful floral displays in shades of soft pink, including hydrangeas, dahlias and stocks. Tables were kept simple with pink and white tapered candles, twinkling tealights and small floral posies in white vases. We love the modern and elegant look.

Summer wedding vibes at Prestwold Hall

The August weather did not disappoint, and our couple were able to really make the most of Prestwold Hall’s enchanting outdoor space. Guests mingled in the formal gardens, sipping champagne as a live band played. How perfect? Holly and Sam had thought of everything, even leaving a selection of white parasols for guests to help themselves to.

We love Holly and Sam’s retro red telephone audio guest book. It’s such a quirky alternative to the traditional handwritten messages and was a big hit with guests.

As the sun started to set, it was time to cut the cake, and light the fire pits to keep guests toasty. Soon, the happy couple and their guests filled the dance floor and sang and danced the night away. The most perfect end to this fabulous summer wedding at Prestwold Hall.
