Here we’ll share our tips on how to plan a wedding in less than a year, and all the details you need about our exclusive 2025 wedding offers and inspirational wedding showcase.
Our luxury Leicestershire wedding venue
If you love the idea of getting married in an elegant, country house setting, Prestwold Hall is the perfect venue for your big day. Surrounded by acres of idyllic countryside, Prestwold Hall is a Leicestershire wedding venue with unmistakeable wow factor. From the stylish Library and enchanting Orangery to our picturesque formal gardens, we truly believe there’s something magical about this stately home wedding venue.
With a choice of indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces, as well as the option of marrying in the beautiful church just a short stroll from the main house, Prestwold Hall has you covered. Our Dining Room is a luxurious setting for your wedding breakfast – think sumptuous interiors, grand chandeliers and elegant antique furniture – with gorgeous views to match.
There’s a choice of 10 stylish bedrooms, including a chic Wedding Suite for the newlyweds to enjoy, available exclusively for you and your guests. If you’re after a little more space, there’s the self-catering Laundry Cottage (which sleeps 8) or Lodge (which sleeps 6) on-site, available to book the night before or the evening of your wedding.
And the best bit? Prestwold Hall is exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding, so you and your guests can relax, make yourselves at home and live out those Lord and Lady of the Manor dreams.
How to plan a wedding in less than a year
Planning a wedding with limited time doesn’t have to be stressful. In fact, when you have a clear timeframe in mind it can help focus your planning to create the wedding you genuinely want.
The very first thing you should do is decide on a budget. Once that’s agreed, you can get planning.
Book the venue
Your wedding venue sets the tone for the whole day and it’s important you find somewhere that suits your needs and fits your big day style. Venues tend to get booked up quite far in advance, but most will have 2025 availability still. If you can’t see anything on their website, send an email or give the venue a call to enquire about free dates.
Confirm guest list and send invites
Once the venue is sorted, it’s time to confirm your guest list and get those invites sent out. Consider sending out an email or text in lieu of a save the date, just so you can give guests as much notice as possible before the official invites arrive.
Sort those suppliers
Great wedding photographers and florists get booked up early, so make sure these are top of your list to contact and get confirmed. Try to firm up bookings for all your essential suppliers as quickly as possible once your wedding date is booked. Don’t forget the ceremony
Alongside your suppliers make sure you prioritise booking your registrar or church for your wedding ceremony.

When you’re working with a tighter-than-usual turnaround, it’s so important to ask for help – and accept it when it’s offered. Delegating tasks to friends and family really helps take the weight off the two of you – and usually people are thrilled to be asked to get involved.
